Police in Newark are on the search for a suspect who fired multiple shots a person during a robbery in the city's North Ward on Wednesday evening.
According to preliminary reports, the incident occurred at approximately 9:30 p.m. on North 6th Street where the suspect reportedly approached the victim at gunpoint and demanded personal possession.
When the suspect handed over a cell phone, the suspect began to fire shots at the victim before running away from the scene.
The victim did not suffer any injuries during the incident.
The incident remains under investigation.
