Police in Newark are investigating a shots fired incident that occurred in a Newark neighborhood overnight.
A ShotsSpotter activation alerted police to the vicinity of 62 Pennsylvania Avenue just before 12:45 a.m. where officers found several shell casings at that location.
Police engaged in a foot pursuit with a possible suspect and appended him near Parkhurst and Pennsylvania Avenue.
There were no injuries reported.
Police are looking for several males who ran from the scene upon officer's arrival.
