A 31-year-old Elizabeth man is in custody after Bergen County detectives seized nearly 4½ pounds of raw heroin following the execution of a search warrant.
According to authorities, on Wednesday, detectives executed search warrants at Jhon Rodriguez-Acosta’s Elizabeth apartment and a hair studio.
Officials there seized unpackaged heroin, dozens of packages of heroin, Fentanyl and a small amount of crack, all worth approximately $160,000 on the street.
In addition, police recovered cutting agents, $1,700 in cash, and heroin packaging materials.
Police arrested Rodriguez-Acosta and charged him with various drug and conspiracy charges. Officials said he remained held Thursday in the Bergen County Jail pending a hearing in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack.
