Police in Elizabeth are at the scene of shooting that sent one person to the hospital suffering injuries.
According to preliminary reports, officers responded to 300 block of Bond Street sometime around 7 p.m. for a report of shots fired.
Upon arrival, officers found a person struck by gunfire at that location.
EMS transported the victim to University Hospital in Newark in an unknown condition.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
