Authorities in Newark has identified a man killed in a shooting that occurred in Newark's South Ward on Saturday afternoon.
According to a spokesperson for the Essex County Prosecutor's Office, gunfire struck the victim identified as Mr. Wesley L. McAdams Jr., 20, of Irvington in the 200 block West Runyon Street.
EMS rushed McAdams to University Hospital suffering a gunshot wound to the chest where doctors officially pronounced him dead on Sunday.
The suspect remains at-large.
The investigation is active and ongoing.
