Newark Shooting Suspect Sought by Police

Newark police are seeking the public’s help identifying a male wanted in connection with a shooting that occurred on Jan. 13th.

According to police, at approximately 7:50 p.m., police responded to the 200-block of 16th Avenue on a call of a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers located a victim who sustained non-life threatening injuries. The victim was transported to University Hospital where he received treatment.

While police are actively searching for the suspect, they seek the public’s assistance in quickly locating and removing him from the streets.

The investigation is active and ongoing.
