A Union County shooting that sent one person to the hospital suffering serious injuries is under investigation by Elizabeth Police.
According to preliminary reports, police were called to the 500 block of Elizabeth Avenue at around before 4 a.m. for reports of shots fired.
Units arriving at the scene found a severely injured person suffering an apparent gunshot wound reports said.
Emergency responders performed life-saving techniques on the victim before EMS transported to an area hospital.
The motive for the shooting remains under investigation.
There were no reports of arrests made.
