An overnight shooting that occurred in the Newark's North Ward has police searching for a suspect/s responsible for the incident.
Reports of shots fired sent police to the vicinity of the 60's block of Kearny Street shortly before 9 p.m. where they found a male victim struck by gunfire at that location.
The victim was taken to University Hospital where his injuries were not immediately reported as life-threatening.
Police are attempting to determine if the gunmen targeted the victim.
There were no official reports of arrests made.
