NEWARK/PATERSON (update): A male victim suffering a gunshot wound was transported by private vehicle to the emergency room of St. Joseph's Hospital. The victim was reportedly shot in the area of North 12th St. and 7th Ave. in Newark earlier this evening according to reports.
The victim reported that a light colored vehicle pulled up to the above location, when the suspect exited the vehicle and begin to fire shots, striking him in the arm.
Newark Police have retrieved the victim and the vehicle and have been transported back to Newark for the investigation.
