A shots fired incident that occurred in a neighborhood in Newark's North Ward had police on the scene investigating overnight.
Police responded to the 400 block of Clifton Avenue shortly before 11:30 p.m. after resident dialed 911 when they heard as many as five loud popping noises.
Units arrived at the scene and immediately searched for injured victims and possible suspects.
Officers found several shell casings and window struck by bullets after a brief canvass of the scene.
There were no injuries immediately reported.
