A shooting that injured a 23-year-old Paterson man over the weekend is under investigation.
Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Deputy Paterson Police Chief Ibrahim Baycora announce that at approximately 10:38 p.m. on October 1st, police were flagged down in front of 253 Broadway by a Good Samaritan who told police there was a shotgun near the entrance of 253 Broadway. Police located and seized the shotgun.
An area search led police to the 100 block of Hamilton Avenue where they found a 23-year-old Paterson man suffering from a gunshot wound.
The victim was immediately transported to Saint Joseph’s Regional Medical Center for treatment.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
