There is a crime scene established an active investigation underway into a shooting that has a man injured in the city's West Ward.
Reports of shots fired sent police to the 100 block of West End Avenue shortly before 10:30 a.m. where officers arrived to find the victim struck multiple times by gunfire.
At least one male suspect was last observed fleeing the scene in a vehicle toward 18th Avenue and West End according to reports.
EMS transported the victim to University Hospital where he is being treated for his injuries.
Avoid the area for the investigation.
