Newark Police officials are requesting the public’s assistance in locating **Mr. Anthony Figueroa** who they say is wanted for shooting at a residence located on Tichenor Street on September 9th.
According to a statement released by Newark Public Safety Director Anthony Ambrose, at 2:02 am, police responded to the report of shots fired in the area of Tichenor and Orchard streets.
First arriving police officers did not find any injured victims but found shell casing with a house struck by bullets.
Director Ambrose said investigators believe the shooting stemmed from a previous dispute.
Detectives from the Police Division Major Crimes Division were able to develop sufficient evidence to identify Anthony Figueroa as a suspect and secured a warrant for his arrest on charges of Aggravated Assault, Possession of a Weapon, and Possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes.
Director Ambrose described said Figueroa is 22-years-old and approximately 5’7” in height, 150 pounds with black hair, and brown eyes.
Mr. Figueroa has a “skull” tattoo on his chest Director Ambrose said.
