Newark Police offcials request the public’s assistance in identifying a vehicle that they say is connected with a double shooting that occurred yesterday (Wednesday).
According to police, after 3 p.m., a white 4-door Nissan Sentra pulled up to two male victims standing in the 300-block of Hawthorne Avenue.
A black male with dread locs exited the vehicle and began shooting police said.
Police said both victims arrived at University Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries and were released.
A second suspect, the driver, was also observed inside the suspect vehicle, which fled heading eastbound on Hawthorne Avenue towards Osborne Terrace following the shooting.
