EMS rushed a victim to an area hospital after gunfire rang out early this morning striking the victim in Trenton.
Residents were awakened by several popping noises in the 100 block of Columbus Avenue before 2 a.m. prompting them to call the police.
Officers arrived to the scene to find the victim suffering an apparent gunshot injury at that location.
The victim's injuries were only reported as severe. There were no arrests reported.
On Saturday morning, gunfire erupted in the 1000 block of State Street at around 2 a.m. sending police to the scene where they found a victim shot according to reports.
The victim's injuries were not reported as life threatening.
Police have not determined if the shootings are connected at this time.
