Police are searching a townhouse complex on Muhammad Ali Avenue for a crime scene after gunfire rang out in the area striking one person.
Officers responded to reports of shots fired where they found the victim in the 90's block of Winans Avenue shortly before 7:30 p.m.
The victim was transported to University Hospital suffering a gunshot wound to the neck according to reports.
It is not immediately confirmed what location the victim suffered the injury.
There is heavy police activity in the area and an investigation underway.
