There are active investigations into two reports of shots fired that occurred in the city at this time.
Multiple rounds gunfire erupted in the 600 block of 15th Avenue at around 9:25 p.m. sending police to the scene where officers found evidence that a shooting had occurred but no victims.
At least one vehicle was struck by bullets after a gunman fired about a half dozen shots at that location. It is unknown who the suspect's target was.
In the other shooting incident, reports of shots fired sent Newark and East Orange Police to the area of South 13th Street and 4th Avenue where authorities believe that two vehicles reportedly exchanged gunfire in the area before speeding off.
Police found evidence that a shooting occurred.
There were no injuries immediately reported.
Avoid both areas for the investigations.
**UPDATE 9:57 p.m.** There is now a crime scene established in the 100 block of Alexander Street where police located at least one shell casing after gunfire rang out in the area. No injuries immediately reported.
**UPDATED 10:22 p.m.**The 4th shooting of the evening is on Avon near Peshine where police are on the scene at this time. Several shell casings found. No injuries.
