Police in Newark are investigating a set of shooting that caused injuries in the city on Sunday.
In the first incident, police responded to reports of shots fired that rang out in the 500 block of Central Avenue sending police to the scene where officers found a male victim suffering a non-life threatening gunshot injury at that location.
EMS transported the victim to University Hospital where doctors treated him for his injury according to reports.
A dark colored vehicle, possibly a 2010-2012 Honda Accord, was observed speeding away from the scene with tinted windows.
In the other shooting incident, gunfire erupted in the 60's block of Norwood Street in Newark's West Ward at around 10:30 p.m. had police on the scene where they found the conscious and alert male victim struck by gunfire.
EMS rushed the victim to the University Hospital where the extent of his injuries were unconfirmed as of 3:30 a.m. **(UPDATE 6:09am Non-life threatening)**

There are no reports of fatalities in any of the shootings at this time.
