EMS rushed a man to University Hospital after finding him struck by gunfire in a neighborhood in the city's North Ward.
Reports of shots fired sent police to the 80's block of Mt. Pleasant Avenue at around 12:15 a.m. where officers arrived to find the male victim suffering a gunshot injury to the head according to reports.
The victim was reportedly alert and conscious upon his transport to the hospital.
The extent of the victim's injuries were not released.
The investigation is active and ongoing.
