Police are on the scene of shooting with a male victim down at this time in the city.
Reports of shots fired sent police to the area of South Park Street and 6th Street at approximately 1:55 p.m.
The victim was rushed to University Hospital in Newark suffering serious injuries after being shot two times according to reports.
Witnesses observed a 5'5" black male last seen wearing a red shirt and a do-rag flee the scene.
Police have a crime scene established and an investigation underway.
