UPDATE: Suspects Wanted for Newark Shooting That Caused Injuries

Two suspects wanted for allegedly firing a gun that injured a person in the city has Newark Police seeking the public’s help in identifying the suspects.

According to information sent to the media by Newark Public Safety Director Anthony Ambrose, on Sunday, March 30th at approximately 10:07 p.m., a 25-year old male victim was shot at New and Hudson streets by two black males.

Director Ambrose said after the suspects shot the victim, they ran away from the scene.

EMS rushed the victim to University Hospital where doctors treated the victim for his injuries then released him Director Ambrose said.

"While our officers are actively searching for these suspects, we seek the public’s assistance in quickly locating and removing them from city streets.

This investigation is ongoing.
