A shooting that injured a man in Newark this afternoon has police on the scene investigating.
About a dozen police units descended on the scene of shooting with a man down in the 200 block of Bergen Street shortly before 12:30 p.m.
Officers found the victim suffering gunshot wounds to the lower extremities according to reports.
EMS rushed the unidentified victim to University Hospital where his injuries were not reported as life threatening.
