A man shot and seriously injured in a neighborhood in Newark's West Ward was rushed to University Hospital overnight.
The early morning shooting happened in the 50's block of Sunset Avenue when gunfire rang out striking the man multiple times just inside his front doorway according to preliminary reports.
A gray 4-door vehicle occupied by two black males was observed speeding away from the scene reports said.
The man was listed in serious condition as of early this morning.
The investigation is active and ongoing.
