Two people are being rushed to St. Joseph's Hospital in Paterson after being shot in a neighborhood in the city.
Gunfire rang out in the 80's block of Auburn Street at around 5:15 p.m. sending police to the scene where they found the victims suffering gunshot wounds to the neck and torso according to reports.
The suspect fled the scene on foot .
Police have a crime scene established where they are canvassing the area searching for evidence and a possible suspect.
The motive for the shooting is under investigation.
