Police are on the scene of shooting with at least two people down in a neighborhood in Jersey City at this time.
Gunfire erupted shortly before 6:15 p.m. in the 100 block of Monticello Street sending police to the scene where they found two victims injured after being shot according to preliminary reports.
The victims were transported to Jersey City Medical Center where their injuries were not immediately reported as life threatening.
The investigation is active and ongoing.
