An early morning shooting that sent a man to the hospital in Paterson has police searching for a suspect.
The shooting happened at around 12:30 a.m. in the 100 block of 12th Avenue where police were called for reports of shots fired.
Officers arriving at the scene found the victim suffering a gunshot wound to the stomach according to reports.
The victim was rushed to St. Joseph's Medical Center where he is in serious but stable condition reports said.
Police are investigating a motive for the shooting.
There were no arrests reported.
