EMS is rushing a teenager to Jersey City Medical Center suffering gunshot wounds to the chest and abdomen at this time.
Police responded to the area of Wilkinson Avenue and Ocean Avenue at around 7:15 p.m. after receiving reports of shots fired.
The seriously injured victim was fired upon by a black male suspect who was last seen wearing a dark colored hoodie when he fled the scene.
Police escorted EMS to the hospital.
There is a crime scene established and an investigation underway.
