There are life threatening injuries reported for a male victim who is shot in the city's South Ward at this time.
Reports of shots fired that rang out in the 1000 block of Bergen Street at around 6:30 sent police to the scene where they found the male victim struck several time in the head by gunfire.
The man, who is reported to be around the age of 21-years-old, was rushed to the hospital in critical conditon.
Police are looking for a 6ft tall black male who was last seen wearing dark clothing when he ran from the scene after the shooting.
There is a crime scene established.
