Police are investigating a shooting that sent a man to the hospital on Thursday evening in Newark.
Officials at the University Hospital con acted authorities when a male victim entered the hospital suffering injury from gunfire at around 7 p.m.
Police setup a crime scene near a barber shop located in the 200 block of Clifton Avenue (near Bloomfield Avenue) after finding evidence that a shooting had occurred at that location.
The victim suffered a non-life threatening gunshot wound to the buttocks according to officials.
Authorities are investigating a motive for the shooting.
There were no arrests immediately reported.
