There is a crime scene established in the teens block of Riverside Court near Grafton Avenue as police are on the scene of a shooting with two victims down at this time.
Multiple rounds of gunfire rang out in the area shortly before 8:15 p.m. sending police to the scene where officers located a male victim struck to the back and a second victim bleeding heavily from the leg after being shot.
There is mutual assistance from the Essex County Sherriff Department on the scene.
Emergency responders are making there way to the scene.
A grey Jeep Grand Cherokee was observed fleeing the scene according to initial reports.
UPDATE 8:38 p.m. Both victims are suffering serious injuries.
Avoid the area for the police investigation.
