A male victim suffering injury from gunfire who was picked up East Orange Police precinct has Newark Police investigating.
East Orange authorities contacted Newark Police at around 5:30 after a male victim that made it to their precinct was suffering a gunshot wound.
The victim reported to police that he was shot on Chelsea Avenue in Newark according to reports.
Newark police launched an investigation into the shooting that left the victim suffering non-life threatening injuries.
It is not clear when the shooting occurred.
The motive for the shooting has not been disclosed.
