There is an active search for the suspect that fired a weapon and cause injury to one person in Paterson overnight.
The shooting happened in the area of Rosa Parks Boulevard and Putnam Street at around 11 p.m. where police responded to reports of a shooting with one person injured.
Cops arriving to the scene located the crime scene and found a house struck by several bullets but no victim was found reports said.
Hospital officials at the St. Josephs Hospital contacted police after a victim arrived to the hospital by private vehicle and bleeding from the eye.
It was later confirmed that the victim was struck by gunfire.
The condition of the victim could not be confirmed.
There were no arrests reported.
