Police in Newark are looking into the motive behind a shooting that caused property damage in Newark late last night.
Bullets reportedly flew into the window of a house located in the 400 block of South 17th Street shortly before midnight sending heavy police presence to the scene where a thorough search of the house and the neighborhood had cops find no injured victims according to initial reports.
It is not clear of anyone was home inside the residence during the incident.
Police located several shell casings in the area and have launched an investigation into the shooting.
There were no arrests immediately reported.
