A shooting in the city's West Ward has police on the scene with a man down.
Gunfire rang out in the 90's block of Alexander Street at around 2:20 p.m. sending police to the scene where they found a person shot at that location.
The victim was transported to University Hospital where he suffered a non-life threatening gunshot wound to the leg according to authorities.
Police are looking for a black and gold colored Dodge Caravan that is occupied by several black males, that fled the scene immediately after the shooting.
The motive for the shooting in under investigation.
