Police checked the area of East 25th Street and 17th Avenue for a crime scene after a male victim who suffered a gunshot injury arrived at the hospital late last night.
Officials at St. Josephs's Hospital contacted police when a male victim entered the emergency department injured after being shot at around 11:15 p.m. according to reports.
The victim told police that he was shot at the 17th Avenue location shortly before entering the hospital.
His injuries were not reported to be life threatening.
The motive for the shooting is under investigation by Paterson Police.
