Separate Shootings Injures Two in Paterson

Police in Paterson are investigating separate shootings that hospitalized two people overnight in the city.

Reports of shots fired rang out in the area of Rosa Parks Boulevard and Godwin Avenue at around 1 a.m. sending several police units to the scene where they located one person shot in the head at that location.

The victim was rushed by EMS to St. Joseph's Hospital suffering serious injuries according to reports.

There were no reports of arrests made.

In another shooting incident that occurred in the city overnight, police responded to shots fired in the area of Presidential Boulevard and Jefferson Street where cops located a male victim shot in the abdomen at that location.

The victim was transported to St. Joseph's Hospital where his injuries were no immediately reported as life threatening.

There were no arrests made.

Both shootings are under investigation by Paterson police.
