The shooting in the 60s block off Chapel Street has police on the scene investigating at this time.
Shots fired rang out at about 5:05 p.m. sending police to the scene where officers located evidence of a shooting but no victim.
Officials at University Hospital contacted authorities when a male victim walked into the hospital suffering a non-life threatening gunshot wound to the leg.
Police have the area around Chapel Street taped-off for the investigation.
There are no immediate reports of arrests.
