We are seeing some heavy police activity in the area of South 17th Street and 15th Avenue at this time.
At least one round of gunfire rang out in the above area at around 8 a.m. sending cops to the scene where a male victim was observed laying on the ground unconscious at that location.
We can not immediately confirm the extent of the victim's injuries but police have a crime scene established and an investigation underway at this time.
We saw about two EMS units on the scene for the incident.
