Paterson Police are investigating gunfire that erupted in the city overnight.
Reports of shots fired that was detected by ShotsSpotter rang out in the single digit block of North 3rd Street sent police to the scene at around 4 a.m.
Officers arriving to the scene located evidence of a shooting but no victim was immediately found.
A gunman fired as many as 10 rounds before fleeing the scene.
There were no reports of arrests made.
