An apparent shootout that occurred yesterday afternoon in the 20's block of Normandy Place has police investigating.
Several rounds of gunfire erupted around 3 p.m. sending residents in the area scrambling for cover as 2-3 men exchanged gunfire at each other according to residents in the area.
EMS transported about 6 people to the hospital with minor injuries while police combed the scene finding dozens of shell casings.
Residents believed that the shootings stemmed from a barbecue in the area where loud arguing was heard shortly before gunfire rang out.
It was not immediately clear if any of the injured were innocent victims.
