Young Man Wounded in Paterson Shooting

A 21-year-old man from Paterson fell victim to a shooting incident late Wednesday afternoon, prompting an immediate response from local law enforcement.AdThe Passaic County Prosecutor, Camelia M. Valdes, announced that Paterson Police Department officers were dispatched to the intersection of North 6th Street and Clinton Street at around 5:24 p.m., following reports of gunfire.

Upon their arrival, police discovered the young man suffering from a gunshot wound.

He was swiftly transported to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson, where he is currently receiving treatment for injuries deemed non-fatal.

Officers at the scene were also able to identify a potential crime scene related to the shooting.

As the investigation into the shooting remains in its active stages, authorities are calling on the public for assistance.AdThe Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office is urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward and reach out through their tips line or by contacting the Paterson Police Shooting Investigation Unit directly.
