Wounded Passaic Man Arrives to Area Hospital, Prompting Shooting Investigation

The Passaic Police Department is investigating a shooting after a man showed up at a hospital Thursday afternoon suffering a gunshot wound.

According to authorities, at approximately 6:22 p.m. on July 18th, members of the Passaic Police Department were advised that a 24-year old Passaic man was seeking treatment for a non-fatal gunshot wound at Saint Mary’s General Hospital in Passaic.

Officials say that based on the initial investigation the victim was shot in the area of Central Avenue and Sherman Street.

The investigation remains active and ongoing.
