Heavy gunfire erupted on a Newark street a short time ago sending multiple police units to the scene.
Police responded to several reports of shots fired in the 200 block of Rose Street shortly before 7:30 p.m. where they found a woman grazed in the leg by gunfire and a second woman reportedly physically assaulted with a weapon.
Police are focusing in on a house in the area where residents said the gunman man have gone into.
Police located a vehicle struck by multiple rounds of bullets in the 30's block of Brenner Street.
