Authorities in Trenton are investigating an aggravated assault that left a woman injured after she was struck in the head with a BB gun late Saturday night.
According to police, the incident occurred around 10:25 p.m. in the 600 block of Cass Street.
Officers responded to reports of a person shot and arrived to find a woman suffering from a head injury.
Investigators said a BB gun caused the wound.
The victim was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
It is not yet known whether the victim knew her attacker. The investigation remains active and ongoing.
