Woman Indicted in Hit-and-Run Crash That Killed 16-Year-Old Teen in Pennsauken

Camden County Prosecutor Mary Eva Colalillo and Pennsauken Police Chief John Coffey reported the indictment of a woman in connection with a fatal motor vehicle hit-and-run in March.

A Grand Jury indicted Susan Hyland, 41, of Beverly, on a second-degree count of leaving the scene of a fatal motor vehicle accident, a third-degree count of being in fatal motor vehicle accident while driving suspended and a third-degree count of endangering an injured victim in a fatal pedestrian hit-and-run crash on Route 130 and 49th Street in Pennsauken at approximately 11:23 p.m. on March 28.

Hyland was driving on southbound on Route 130 when she hit a 16-year-old male from Pennsauken. The victim was walking across Route 130.

Hyland fled the scene and was arrested with in a few hours in Camden.
