Police in Perth Amboy conducted an active search for a possible suspect responsible for a stabbing that left a female victim critically injured overnight.
The victim was found suffering multiple stab wounds in the 200 block of Washington Street at around 4:45 a.m.
The woman was rushed to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital were she was reported to be in critical condition.
An active investigation is underway.
