A female victim who was shot at a location in Jersey City was rushed to Jersey City Medical Center late last night prompting a police investigating.
The shooting happened in the area of Bergen Avenue and Fairview Avenue shortly before midnight where police were called to the scene to investigate shots fired reports according to initial reports.
Officers found the conscious and alert woman struck by gunfire at that location.
While police established a crime scene in the area, reports of a second victim arrived to the hospital by private vehicle and was immediately treated by medical staff.
Several shell casings and other evidence was found at the shooting scene.
The motive for the shooting is under investigation.
