Newark Police officials named two Ironbound students as the winner of the 2019 Halloween Costume Contest.
According to Newark Police, 3rd Precinct Executive Officer Lieutenant A. Cruz, along with 3rd Precinct Community Service Officer M. Silva and School Resource Officer A. Hart, awarded bicycles to the two lucky winners of the best costume contest at Hawkins Street School.
Police say the other winner is a student at Oliver Street School.
According to officials, Mr. Chris Bernardo of the Commercial District Services assisted in the event.
