Willingboro Man Charged in Deadly Atlantic City Stabbing

Following a physical altercation on Saturday night near the intersection of Pennsylvania and Pacific avenues in Atlantic City, an investigation is continuing into a fatal stabbing by the ACPO Major Crimes Unit, Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon G. Tyner announced.

According to officials, on Saturday at approximately 11:29 p.m., Atlantic City Police officers responded to a 911 call, reporting that two men were stabbed at 1102 Pacific Avenue.

Officials say both men were transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center City Division and after undergoing surgery, Anthony Warfield, 25, died from his wounds.

The second victim has been treated and released from the hospital.

Police charged Jaheel Ryan, 27, of Willingboro with the first-degree Robbery in connection to this incident.

Police say Ryan is lodged at the Atlantic County Justice Facility, awaiting a detention hearing.

The Atlantic City Police Department’s ACHILLES Surveillance Center located at the Clayton B. Graham Public Safety Building was instrumental in assisting with this investigation.

An autopsy of Warfield was completed today and the cause of death is a stab wound to the left chest and the manner of death is homicide.

This stabbing death remains under investigation at this time.
