Whitehouse Man Charged with Robbery, Possession of Weapons

Hunterdon County Prosecutor Anthony P. Kearns, III, Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office Chief of Detectives John J. Kuczynski, and Readington Township Police Chief Sebastian Donaruma announced the arrest of one individual for robbery and weapons offenses.

According to Prosecutor Kearns, Victor Deleon, 53, of Whitehouse Station, was arrested and charged with robbery, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and criminal restraint, a disorderly persons offense.

Deleon approached a victim in the parking lot of the Bishop’s Supermarket and demanded money. The victim, believing Deleon had a weapon, called 911 and he was subsequently arrested by the Readington Township Police Department. He was found to be in possession of a screw driver.

Deleon was lodged in the Somerset County Jail and is awaiting his first court appearance.
